About
Thirty years of fixing how work moves through companies with thousands of employees, and watching smaller businesses get nothing. Same problem. Same shape. Only one of the two sizes was ever being served.
Makasa exists to serve the other one, now that the tools finally make it economic.
Who we are
Founder
Michel has spent thirty years on one question wearing progressively different clothes: what does this business actually have, what is it costing, and does the work flow the way anyone thinks it does?
Large companies pay a great deal to have that answered. It is the same question a small business owner asks about their own week, and almost nobody has been answering it for them.
The through-line is unglamorous and it is the whole point: work out what the process should be, then automate it. In that order, because automating a broken process makes it fail faster.
He merged the technology of two of the world's largest accounting firms, 70,000 users across twenty countries. He ran a $29 million program with a team of 70 at a global investment manager. He built a decision-support software business and sold it to a multi-billion-dollar enterprise software company, then spent twelve years there in product management leadership, with a seat on the standards bodies that decide how software identification works.
Along the way: pharmacy robotics filling 40,000 prescriptions a day, plus process engineering and automation across banking, insurance, payments, telecoms, utilities, consumer goods and government.
Dozens of engagements over that period, and the same handful of problems in nearly all of them. That's why we can walk into a business we've never seen and find where the time is going.
Engineers, designers and specialists, chosen for what they're genuinely good at rather than for who happened to be available. Most of them we've worked with for years, and every one of them has been picked deliberately.
The people who design your system are the people you call.
What we believe
Learning to prompt is not a skill a busy owner should have to acquire. That's our job. You'll use what we build; you'll never have to configure it, maintain it, or work out why it stopped. If you ever find yourself doing any of that, we've built the wrong thing.
Half the value of looking properly at a business is finding the steps that should be deleted rather than sped up. Automation applied to a broken process just produces failures faster and more consistently.
Everything we build shows its reasoning: what happened, when, and why. Not a black box that's usually right, because usually right is impossible to defend on the day it isn't.
Everything we build is documented in plain English and yours to keep. If you want to bring it in-house or hand it to someone else, we'll help you do it. A business that only works because of one supplier isn't an asset either.
Where we are
The process work is not new and neither is the track record. What is new is applying it at this size, with these tools, to businesses that could never have afforded the enterprise version.
What that buys you is attention. Early customers get the founder rather than an account manager, they shape what gets built next, and they get asked what they think rather than told what's coming.
What it costs you is a long client list in this specific form, which is why the guarantee exists and why the first conversation is free. We'd rather earn it than claim it.
Straight answers
Anywhere from a single owner up to about a hundred people, with real admin volume and nobody internal who handles technology. Most are engineering and site design practices, licensed trades, or professional practices. But the industry matters less than the shape of the work: if yours runs on deadlines, documents and follow-up that only happens when somebody chases it, you're the right kind of business whatever it says on your van.
Businesses looking for someone to run a tool they've already bought, and businesses where the real problem is that nobody has decided how the work should go. We'll say so in the first fifteen minutes rather than take the money and find out later.
Small and deliberately so. A founder who does the process work, and a bench of engineers, designers and specialists brought in for what each build needs. You will not be handed to an account manager.
You call us, not a ticket queue. Every system we build is documented, so the person who answers can tell you what it was supposed to do and what it actually did. That is the whole reason we write it all down.
Everything we build is documented in plain English and yours to keep. Bring it in-house, hand it to somebody else, or turn it off. We'll help you do it, and we'd rather you left cleanly than stayed because leaving was hard.
